The Vietnam Blockchain Week of 2025 will be held for the first time in Hanoi, scheduled for August 1 to 2 at the National Convention Center. New Developments in Digital Asset Regulation

The Vietnamese government has recently made significant progress in the regulation of digital assets, demonstrating a clear commitment to establishing a legal framework for the industry and supporting its development.

• In October 2024, the government released the "National Blockchain Technology Development Strategy," which is planned to be implemented in 2025, aiming to strengthen the country's infrastructure and promote Vietnam as a leader in regional Blockchain technology applications.

• Starting from the end of 2024, the National Assembly will begin reviewing the "Digital Technology Industry Law", which clarifies the legal definition of digital assets and proposes to pilot digital asset trading platforms in major financial centers such as Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang.

• The government has also issued directives requiring the comprehensive legal framework for digital assets, including virtual assets and service providers, to be improved by May 2025.
